the pioneers of blackened crust, Canada's ISKRA have returned for a new album. After forging the term blackened crust 10 years ago and laying out the blueprint for a political charged black metal / hardcore hybrid that helped to inspire a new wave of anarchist black metal bands around the globe, ISKRA sets a new standart in style with "ruins".

[9.6/10] Easily the best sounding blackened death/thrash this side of The Crown's "Eternal Death", with lungs and screams sounding like Tompa (1min05, on ''Moloch'' simply delivers 1 of the most effective ''Go"' ever caught on record this side of Tompa's Disfear. Listen to this if you care about the likes of Destroyer 666, Aura Noir, Krisiun's "Black Force Domain".
