something is moving within the microcosm of the german DIY HC / metal underground in Germany. a new wave of black metal infused hardcore bands has been on the rise for a few years now and WELK is a great addition to the ever growing list of bands that are paving their own paths and that have been coming up with a new sound that is detached from the traditional black metal scene. somewhere in between frantic melodic black metal, atmospheric post metal and raging hardcore crust WELK have been cooking up their own soup for some time and we are proud to take part in the release of their second EP "Sein" which will be released on CD through us in a limited edition of 50 hand numbered copies. All art has been created by the band and will be put out in a screen printed cardboard eco sleeve that will house a black on black vinyl styled CDr.

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
